Eco Green Sanctuary – Commitment to Energy Conservation & Sustainability
Dear Residents,
In line with global energy sustainability goals and our shared responsibility to protect the environment, Eco Green Sanctuary is proud to adopt renewable energy solutions that ensure both conservation and dignity in resource use. For the next 13 weeks, residents will enjoy free electricity and water, provided we all actively support this hostel policy.
To harmonize our systems and safeguard equipment, the hostel will undergo a daily manual change-over between the national grid (ECG) and our solar power system:
- ⏰ 10:00pm – 6:00am → Powered by Solar Energy (renewable, eco-friendly, cost-free)
- ⏰ 6:00am – 10:00pm → Powered by National Electricity (ECG) (tariff-based, higher cost during peak activity)
⚡ Important Resident Action:
All residents are required to switch off all electrical appliances exactly 5 minutes before 10:00pm each day.

📊 Energy Cost Efficiency Guidance
To ensure low expenses on electricity consumption and maximize sustainability:
- ✅ Best Time for Heavy Appliances: Use irons, kettles, and blenders during solar hours (10:00pm–6:00am) where possible.
- ✅ Daytime ECG Use: Limit to essentials (fans, lights, minimal TV) to reduce tariff costs.
- ✅ Smart Habits: Unplug chargers and devices when not in use; stagger appliance use to prevent surges.

1. Refund Policy
- No Refund After 7 Days of Booking
Refund requests will not be honored if submitted more than seven (7) calendar days after the initial booking date.
- Conditional Refund Eligibility
A refund may only be granted under either of the following conditions:
- The booked room is physically occupied within seven (7) days of the official reopening of school.
- The room is reassigned and occupied by another student within the same seven (7) day window.
Proof of occupancy or reassignment may be required.
- Non-Transferable and Non-Extendable
Refund eligibility is strictly tied to the original booking and cannot be transferred or extended beyond the stated conditions.
- Processing Timeline
Approved refunds will be processed within fourteen (14) working days from the date of confirmation.
- Policy Acknowledgement
By confirming a booking, guests acknowledge and accept the terms of this refund policy.
